As Muslims worldwide celebrate Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan on Sunday, March 30, NASFAT President Alhaji Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf extended warm wishes, emphasising the importance of unity and justice.
“As Muslims in Nigeria and across the world conclude the month of Ramadan and celebrate Eid al-Fitr, NASFAT extends heartfelt congratulations.
“May this blessed occasion strengthen our faith, deepen our compassion, and inspire continued acts of service to humanity,” he stated in a statement shared with Dailyeconomy.
He urged societies to uphold justice and compassion, particularly for displaced persons and refugees, saying, “As a responsible religious organisation, we must remain a source of hope for the oppressed.”
He also underscored the need for interfaith harmony, noting, “The Holy Qur’an teaches us to stand for justice and embrace our diversity as a means of understanding one another.”
However, NASFAT wished all Muslims a blessed Eid, hoping that the spirit of Ramadan’s generosity and devotion continues throughout the year.
