President of the Nasrul-Lahi-il Fathi Society of Nigeria (NASFAT), Dr AbdulWahid AbdulRauf, has issued a heartfelt press release to mark the occasion of Eid al-Adha and the ongoing Hajj pilgrimage.

Addressing NASFAT stakeholders and Muslims around the globe, he extended warm greetings and congratulations to all those performing the sacred pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina.

“On behalf of NASFAT stakeholders and members across the globe, I extend our greetings for a happy Eid al-Adha to Muslims worldwide and congratulate those performing Hajj.

“Thousands of Muslim Nigerians are among those who have joined one of the world’s largest and most diverse gatherings in making the pilgrimage, including visits to nearby historical sites,” AbdulRauf said.

The NASFAT President underscored the significance of Eid al-Adha as a time for reflection and charity, commemorating Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son.

“As Muslims celebrate this Eid, they will also commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son by distributing food to those less fortunate around the world,” he noted.

AbdulRauf highlighted the global and local humanitarian efforts tied to the Eid celebrations noting, “We join Nigeria and the international community in relief efforts to assist those struggling to survive in their various nations and those recovering from the devastating wars and attacks in Northern Nigeria, Ukraine, Palestine, India, and Pakistan.”

He further reflected on the unifying power of faith during this season.

“The Eid and Hajj rituals are a reminder of the shared roots of the world’s Abrahamic faiths and the powerful role that faith plays in motivating communities to serve and stand with those in need,” he added.

Concluding his message, AbdulRauf extended best wishes for the Hajj season and Eid celebrations stating, “On behalf of NASFAT, we extend our best wishes during this Hajj season. Eid Mubarak and Hajj Mabrour. Wishing everyone many more on earth in good health, wellbeing, and abundant blessings of Allah, Barakah Allahu fiih Amin.”
