National Grid denies collapse amidst Saturday power outage

Contrary to recent claims, the national grid did not experience a collapse on January 11, 2025, Dailyeconomy reports.

Reports circulating about a grid failure that left parts of the country in darkness have been deemed inaccurate.

The X (formally Twitter) account of National Grid Nigeria known for providing real-time updates on National Grid, confirmed the reports to be faux.

The tweet reads, “KINDLY IGNORE RUMOUR OF A GRID COLLAPSE TODAY. IT IS FALSE!”
