The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has emphasised the vital role of personal hygiene and public health measures in safeguarding against diseases.

The agency on Wednesday via a post on X, outlined key actions everyone should take to protect themselves, including frequent handwashing with soap under clean running water, avoiding unsafe contact with sick individuals or animals, practicing good hygiene and food safety, and adhering to public health advisories.

“The health of every Nigerian is in their hands,” the NCDC stressed, encouraging citizens to maintain vigilance and responsibility for their well-being.
