NDLEA arrests man with cocaine hidden in sandals

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has confirmed the arrest of a man dressed in church uniform with cocaine hidden in sandals and headed for Europe.
The NDLEA through its spokesman, Femi Babafemi, in a post on X’s (formally Twitter) handle on Sunday, stated that the man concealed cocaine worth millions in the sandals despite putting on a church uniform.
The statement did not disclose the suspect’s name or where the arrest was made. Meanwhile, the photos of the suspect indicated that the man was dressed in a uniform with the caption, “Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, Uke, Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha” and two videos that demonstrated how the drugs were concealed in the sandals.
Babafemi wrote, “God is not mocked! You’re wearing a cloth advertising God on your trip to Europe but you’re concealing cocaine worth millions in the sandals you’re wearing beneath.
“The temerity! The audacity! The video reveals the moment NDLEA officers discovered this at the Lagos airport#NDLEA.”
On July 21, 2024, Dailyeconomy reported that the NDLEA seized illicit shipments and consignments of Cocaine and Loud and cannabis concealed in incense candles, game packs, dry hibiscus leaves and ladies’ native wears at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos State.
