NDLEA foils attempt to smuggle drugs to UK

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency have prevented attempts to smuggle illegal drugs to the United Kingdom after discovering them hidden in parcels of tiger nuts and bags of groundnuts.

This was disclosed in videos shared by the NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, via his official X (formally Twitter) handle

on Sunday.

Babafemi warned citizens to always search packages thoroughly to be aware of their contents before accepting them.

He captioned the videos, “Again, never accept any package on your journey, no matter how genuine it looks, without a thorough search. These videos showing the moment #ndlea_nigeria officers uncovered illicit drugs in parcels of tiger nuts going to UK & bags of groundnut in a bus reinforce this warning.”
