National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has drawn a powerful parallel between the spiritual discipline of Ramadan and the fight against substance abuse, urging Nigerians to view sobriety as an act of obedience.

In a post shared via X on Saturday, the agency stated, “Ramadan trains us to say no to inordinate desires. Rejecting illicit drugs and harmful habits is an act of obedience.”

The message, timed amid the ongoing holy month, emphasises self-control as a core lesson of fasting.

NDLEA, which has ramped up anti-drug campaigns nationwide, often ties its advocacy to cultural and religious observances to resonate with communities.
