Senator Ned Nwoko has expressed deep admiration and support for his wife, Laila, amid a wave of online negativity.
In a heartfelt message on Wednesday via his official X handle, Ned Nwoko described her as a woman of “quiet strength” whose character shines beyond the noise of social media.
“In a world where noise travels faster than truth, I want to take a moment to speak about the woman I know, the woman I love, and the woman I cherish. My wife, Laila,” Nwoko wrote.
He emphasised Laila’s preference for privacy and authenticity, noting, “She does not believe in defending herself on the internet because she knows her life and her worth are not determined by online opinions.”
He praised her qualities, calling her “thoughtful, patient, respectful, and incredibly caring,” and highlighted her ability to handle challenges “with calm dignity.”
Senator Nwoko reaffirmed his commitment to stand by her, declaring, “As her husband, I will always stand by her. I will speak for her when needed, and I will protect her name with pride.”
Closing his message, he expressed gratitude towards those showing kindness, saying, “To everyone who has shown understanding, compassion, and kindness during moments when the online world becomes harsh, thank you.”
