NEM Insurance Plc, Nigeria’s leading motor insurance provider and a foremost general business underwriter, has announced the launch of the third edition of its flagship gender-focused initiative, the ‘She Means Business’ contest.

Speaking on the initiative, the General Manager, Corporate Services, Mrs. Mojisola Teluwo, disclosed that the entry window opened on February 16, 2026, and will close on February 28, 2026. She urged interested participants to strictly adhere to the contest timeline.

According to her, the initiative underscores the underwriter’s commitment to promoting entrepreneurship and advancing financial inclusion among women across the country.

She stated that three outstanding female entrepreneurs will be selected to receive a cash grant of ₦250,000 each to expand their business operations. The contest, she noted, represents a strategic response to the growing need for grassroots economic empowerment.

“At NEM Insurance, our mission goes beyond delivering world-class insurance products; we are deeply committed to the growth of the communities we serve. The ‘She Means Business’ contest, now in its third edition, is our practical approach to inspiring inclusion.

“We recognise the pivotal role women play in the economy, and we are proud to provide this ₦250,000 financial boost to help three visionary women transform their business aspirations into reality,” she said.

To encourage creativity and digital engagement, the insurer has outlined a simple entry process for prospective participants:
Create a one-minute video highlighting specific actions to accelerate your business.

Upload the video on personal social media handles and tag @neminsuranceplc.
Follow NEM Insurance on all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter @neminsuranceplc), like and share the post, and tag five friends.
Use the hashtag #NEMSheMeanBusiness3.0 for tracking and validation.

Industry observers believe that initiatives such as this continue to strengthen the corporate image of the insurance sector, repositioning it as a proactive driver of social investment and a supporter of Nigeria’s Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) ecosystem.
