NEMA gives relief materials to flood victims in Ogun

The National Emergency Management Agency South-West Zonal Office, has distributed relief materials to flood victims at the Ifo Local Government Secretariat, Ogun State.
According to a statement on Wednesday by NEMA, the relief materials distribution was done in collaboration with Ogun State Emergency Management Agency.
It reads, “The NEMA South-West Zonal Office, in collaboration with Ogun State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), distributed relief materials to flood victims at the Ifo Local Government Secretariat, Ogun State. Key attendees included legislative aides, local government chairmen, and other stakeholders.
“The South-West Zonal Coordinator, Mr. Olanrewaju Kadiri, expressed sympathy on behalf of NEMA’s Director General, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, and advised residents to adhere to city planning and proper waste management to prevent future floods.
“Ogun SEMA Director, Mr. Olawale Shode, appreciated the Federal Government’s support and called for stronger collaboration among federal, state, and local governments in disaster management.
“Stakeholders present included representatives from NEMA, SEMA, NPF, DSS, NSCDC, community leaders, and others. Beneficiaries, through Prince Abiodun Adeleye, expressed gratitude for the relief assistance.”
