NEMA provides aid to victims of Enugu attack‬

The South East Zonal Office of the National Emergency Management Agency has distributed relief items to victims of bandits attack in Eha-Amufu, Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State.

The Acting Zonal Coordinator, Ngozi Echeazu, on behalf of NEMA Director General Zubaida Umar, flagged off the distribution of relief items as announced in a statement shared on the NEMA X (formerly Twitter) handle on Tuesday.

The statement enunciates, “The NEMA South East Zonal Office distributed relief items to victims of an unknown gunmen attack in Eha-Amufu, Isi-Uzo LGA, Enugu State. The distribution, flagged off by Acting Zonal Coordinator Mrs Ngozi Echeazu on behalf of NEMA DG Mrs Zubaida Umar, took place on July 13, 2024, at Eha-Amufu Town Hall.

“Attendees included local officials, community leaders, and clergy. Community representatives expressed gratitude to NEMA and the federal government for the support, noting the positive impact on the community’s morale.

“The event included an inspection of the items and a transparent distribution process, aimed at easing the hardships of the affected residents.”
