The Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Insurers Association, Bola Odukale, has commended women in the insurance industry for their dedication and resilience in advancing the sector.
In a message to mark International Women’s Day, Odukale said women professionals had played a vital role in shaping and strengthening Nigeria’s insurance industry over the years.
She noted that women had continued to demonstrate excellence and professionalism despite the challenges they often face in the workplace and society.
According to her, their ability to balance responsibilities at home while excelling in their professional careers reflects their strength, commitment and determination.
Odukale said the contributions of women in the industry had not only enhanced the growth of the insurance sector but also inspired younger women to pursue leadership roles and make meaningful impact in their careers.
“As our industry navigates the ongoing recapitalisation process, this year’s theme, ‘Give to Gain,’ resonates strongly with the journey ahead,” she said.
She urged women practitioners in the insurance sector to continue to give their best through innovation, dedication, leadership and collaboration in order to maximise the benefits of the ongoing reforms in the industry.
According to her, the success of the recapitalisation programme will strengthen the industry’s capacity for sustainable growth and increase its contribution to the nation’s economic development.
Odukale added that the association remained committed to supporting women in the sector by creating platforms that amplify their voices, recognise their contributions and promote their professional advancement.
She congratulated women in the insurance industry and across the world for their achievements and resilience, urging them to continue to play active roles in shaping the future of the profession.
