President Bola Tinubu announced a historic milestone in Nigeria’s economic performance, declaring that the country reached its 2025 non-oil revenue target ahead of schedule.

“We have attained a record-breaking increase in non-oil revenue, achieving the 2025 target by August with over N20 trillion,” he revealed during his Independence Day speech on Wednesday.
Highlighting the remarkable growth, President Tinubu noted, “In September 2025 alone, we raised N3.65 trillion, that is 411% higher than the amount raised in May 2023.”
This unprecedented surge underscores Nigeria’s successful diversification efforts beyond oil dependency, signaling a stronger and more resilient economy.
