This was made known in a statement on Tuesday by the Spokesperson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienf.
This significant milestone “stands as a testament to the resilience, unity, and determination of the Angolan people in their pursuit of freedom, peace, and national development,” Tuggar stated.

The two countries continue to enjoy “cordial and mutually beneficial relations, strengthened through cooperation in trade, energy, security, and multilateral engagements.”

Both nations also collaborate closely within the African Union framework.
The Ministry expressed appreciation for Angola’s recognition of three distinguished Nigerians: General Murtala Mohammed, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, and Professor Ibrahim Gambari.
These awards acknowledge Nigeria’s “decisive role in the Angolan liberation struggle and its enduring commitment to African solidarity and Pan-Africanism.”
On this landmark occasion, Nigeria “reaffirms its readiness to deepen bilateral relations with Angola, explore new areas of partnership, and promote greater people-to-people ties for mutual benefit.”
