Nigeria is set to deepen its economic cooperation with Poland following a high-level meeting between the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, and a Polish delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister for Africa, Wojciech Zajączkowski.
This was confirmed by the Ministry of Finance in a statement on Friday.
Edun, in welcoming Poland’s increasing engagement, emphasised Nigeria’s positive economic trajectory driven by reforms and “rising investor confidence, and improving macroeconomic indicators.”
He urged Polish investors to explore diverse sectors in Nigeria, including “manufacturing, digital infrastructure, renewable energy, mining, agriculture, and defence technology.”
Deputy Foreign Minister Zajączkowski reaffirmed that “Nigeria remains Poland’s top strategic partner in Africa,” praising the reform efforts underway and expressing enthusiasm to enhance “private-sector partnerships, digital governance collaboration, and bilateral trade.”
Both parties agreed to expedite their cooperation efforts to “unlock new areas of collaboration” that will foster mutual investment and economic growth.
