Nigeria’s ECOWAS Brown Card Insurance Bureau CEO concludes working visit to Lome, Togo, others
The Nigerian National Bureau, ECOWAS Brown Card Insurance Scheme, has announced the successful conclusion of a strategic working visit by its Secretary General/CEO, Mr Raphael Abiiba, to the Permanent General Secretariat in Lome, Togo.
A statement said the visit, which also included engagements with the Ghana, Togo, and Benin Republic Bureaux, was aimed at deepening collaborations and enhancing cooperation within the ECOWAS Brown Card Insurance Scheme framework.
The ECOWAS Brown Card Insurance Scheme is critical in facilitating seamless cross-border vehicular movements and ensuring the protection of road users within the ECOWAS sub-region.
The Nigerian National Bureau, under the Chairmanship of Mr. Kunle Ahmed, has been committed to implementing strategic initiatives that promote regional integration and operational efficiency.
During the visit to the Permanent General Secretariat in Lome, Togo, Mr Abiiba engaged in high-level discussions with key stakeholders to review ongoing projects, discuss future strategies, and explore innovative solutions to enhance the scheme’s effectiveness. The discussions focused on improving the operational framework, addressing challenges, and leveraging technological advancements to streamline processes.
In addition to the meetings at the Permanent General Secretariat in Lome, Togo, he visited the Ghana, Togo, and Benin Republic Bureaux.
These meetings were instrumental in fostering deeper collaboration and cooperation among the member states, ensuring that the ECOWAS Brown Card Insurance Scheme continues to provide robust support to motorists and stakeholders across the region.
Reflecting on the visit, Abiiba stated, “This working visit has reaffirmed our commitment to fostering a cohesive and efficient ECOWAS Brown Card Insurance Scheme.
“Strengthening our relationships with the Permanent General Secretariat and the various national bureaux is crucial for enhancing operational synergy and ensuring the scheme’s continued success in promoting regional integration and safety.”
