Nigeria’s inflation rate fell to 23.7% in April- NBS

The National Bureau of Statistics has announced a minor reduction in Nigeria’s overall inflation rate, which fell to 23.71 percent in April 2025, down from 24.23 per cent observed in March.

The Bureau shared these new statistics in its Consumer Price Index (CPI) report on Thursday.

According to the agency, the movement for April 2025 “headline inflation rate showed a decrease of 0.52% compared to the March 2025 Headline inflation rate.

“On a month-on-month basis, the Headline inflation rate in April 2025 was 1.86%, which was 2.04% lower than the rate recorded in March 2025 (3.90%).

“This means that in April 2025, the rate of increase in the average price level is lower than the rate of increase in the average price level in March 2025.”
