The Nigeria Immigration Service has reacted to public inquiries regarding the Visa-On-Arrival application process following recent updates to payment systems by local financial institutions.

In a statement by the Service Public Relations Officer Kenneth Udo, on Saturday, applicants were assured that all NIS systems are operating normally.

The service urged individuals interested in the VOA to complete their applications online, emphasising that they can use bank cards for a smooth payment experience from the comfort of their homes.

The statement reads in part, “The attention of the Comptroller General Nigeria Immigration Service, KN NANDAP, pcc, mmis, fsmn, has been drawn to recent challenges faced by the public due to systems upgrade on payment platforms by Nigerian Financial Institutions. The public is to note that all platforms of the Service are functional.

“Consequently, the CGIS advises Visa applicants to apply for Visa-on- Arrival (VOA) in the comfort of their homes, and make payment online as provided on the portal using their bank cards for ease of transaction.
