Ojulari praised Dangote Group President Alhaji Aliko Dangote for his vision in building the 650,000 barrels per day refinery, calling it a milestone that cements Nigeria’s role as Africa’s downstream hub.
He highlighted the partnership’s potential, saying it will “unlock synergies across assets, infrastructure, capital, and markets. It will also provide visibility of all NNPC-Dangote business relations.”
The alliance opens doors for expansion into upstream operations, trading, shipping, and gas supplies.
Ojulari credited President Bola Tinubu’s reforms for creating an investor-friendly environment, noting they signal “seriousness to both domestic and international investors.”
Dangote echoed the optimism, “Nigerians will be the beneficiaries of the synergy between Dangote Group and NNPC Ltd, because our collaboration will achieve economies of scale and unlock value across markets.”
NNPC Ltd holds a 7.25% stake in the refinery, aligning with its downstream growth goals. Both sides pledged to deepen ties for energy security, industrial growth, and value delivery to Nigerians.
