NNPC highlights Nigeria’s leading role in Africa’s energy future in South Africa

On the second day of the African Energy Week (AEW) in Cape Town, South Africa, NNPC Ltd’s Executive Vice President, Upstream, Udy U. Ntia, emphasised the company’s dedication to advancing Africa’s upstream energy sector.
Speaking during the “Exploration Hotspots” high-level session, Ntia stated, “NNPC Ltd is committed to unlocking Africa’s vast upstream potential,” and underscored the company’s active participation in frontier exploration and resource development.
According to a statement by NNPC on Friday, he further highlighted NNPC Ltd’s focus on “building strategic partnerships that boost energy security and support sustainable growth and industrial transformation across the continent.”
Ntia’s remarks reaffirm Nigeria’s position as “not only a major hub for upstream investment, but also a key player in shaping Africa’s energy future.”
