NNPC takes swift action after pump attendant scam video goes viral

NNPC Retail Limited has acted decisively following the circulation of a video on social media showing a pump attendant at one of its filling stations in Ikorodu, Lagos, engaging in fraudulent behavior.

The company confirmed the incident after a thorough investigation.

In an official statement released on Friday, NNPC Retail stated that “such behaviour is unacceptable and does not reflect the company’s commitment to integrity, transparency, and exceptional customer service.”

As part of its response, NNPC Retail Limited has taken the following measures: The pump attendant involved has been immediately disengaged; The Station Manager has been suspended; and a formal warning has been issued to the Dealer.

NNPC Retail also expressed gratitude to the public for their vigilance, urging customers to report any suspicious activities using the official customer service channels available at all stations.

The company assured, “It assures all customers of its continued strict enforcement of compliance with its operational standards across its network of filling stations.”
