NOA, Ministry of Education, others to collaborate on citizenship studies ‬

‪The Federal Executive Council has directed collaboration between the Federal Ministry of Education, the Nigeria Education Research Development Council other various government institutions and the National Orientation Agency to develop a comprehensive curriculum for citizenship studies. ‬

This was disclosed in a release by the NOA on Thursday.

‪This move is part of broader efforts to foster civic responsibility and engagement among Nigerian youth and enhance global awareness.

The release said, “FEC Directs the Federal Ministry of Education, Nigeria Education Research Development Council, and other relevant government institutions and stakeholders to work with the National Orientation Agency to develop a curriculum for Citizenship Studies.NOA, Ministry of Education, others to collaborate on citizenship studies ‬

“Here are some important of Citizenship studies: Understanding rights and responsibilities, promoting civic engagement, building national identity and unity, encouraging critical thinking, promoting social justice and tolerance, developing leadership and responsibility and enhancing global awareness.”
