Nottingham Forest have sensationally dismissed head coach, Sean Dyche after a brief 114-day stint, marking the club’s third managerial change this season.
The decision came hours after a frustrating 0-0 draw with relegation rivals Wolves, despite Dyche’s recent uptick in form.
In an official statement released Thursday, the club confirmed, “Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as head coach. We would like to thank Sean and his staff for their efforts during their time at the Club and we wish them the best of luck for the future. We will be making no further comment at this time.”
Dyche’s tenure wasn’t without highlights—he earned a Premier League Manager of the Month nomination in January and oversaw just one loss in his final six league games.
However, the board pulled the trigger citing persistent struggles to climb clear of the drop zone.
Fan reactions poured in online, blending shock and sarcasm.
Many praised Dyche’s track record of keeping Everton afloat in recent seasons, with one supporter tweeting, “Dyche is a proven survivor—Forest’s board is chaos incarnate.”
