NSCDC apprehends suspect, destroys boat laden with stolen crude oil

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has confirmed the arrest of a suspect involved in illegal oil bunkering, following the interception of a large boat carrying illegally acquired crude oil.

A terse statement shared on the Corps X (formally Twitter) account noted the operation led to the confiscation and destruction of the boat, along with a large pour-put reservoir filled with an unquantifiable volume of stolen crude oil.

It reads, “Arrest of one uspect, Confiscation and Destruction of a Large Boat Containing Illegally Acquired Crude Oil and Large Pour-Put Reservoir Filled with Unquantifiable Volume of Stolen Crude Oil.”
