The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has seized a long container truck containing 70,000 litres of stolen petroleum products in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The agency, in a terse statement on Monday, said the illegal fuel was hidden in an inbuilt storage tank within the truck.

It noted that the operation was carried out by the NSCDC Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad as part of ongoing efforts to combat oil theft and illegal bunkering in the region.

The statement reads, “NSCDC commandant general special intelligence squad impounds long container truck with 70,000 stolen petroleum products stored inside inbuilt storage tank in Port Harcourt.”
