Obiano alive, well, former aide denies death rumours

The former Anambra State Commissioner for Information, C-Don Adinuba, has strongly refuted circulating rumours claiming the death of ex-governor Willie Obiano.
Addressing the reports in a statement, Adinuba assured the public that Obiano is “hale and hearty in Houston, United States, where he currently resides.”
The rumors had suggested Obiano, who governed Anambra State from 2014 to 2022, died in London.
Adinuba dismissed these as “provocative” and “unfounded,” stating, “I just spoke with the former governor and members of his family a few minutes ago. He is strong, hale, and hearty, and bouncing in the US.”
He further urged the public to “ignore the rumour—it is not from a credible source,” emphasising, “Please, the report is fake; Obiano is still alive.”
Adinuba added, “He is not just alive but healthy, strong and too agile for someone who has just turned 70 years. We thank people from different walks of life across the globe.
“The outpouring of love across the globe following the rumour shows how much Chief Obiano matters to many, almost four years after leaving public office and choosing a quiet private life abroad.
“At only 70 years, Chief Obiano has joined the pantheon of men like the Great Zik of Africa, whose rumoured death turned out to be utterly false and without any foundation.”
