Ogun tanker explosion: Many injured, several vehicles burnt

A tanker carrying premium motor spirit well known as petrol, overturned in the Ibafo area of the Obafemi Owode local government area of Ogun State, along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, resulting in numerous vehicles being set ablaze.

The incident according to a report sighted by our correspondent also left many individuals with varying extents of wounds.

The pictures obtained from a netizen show several buildings with shattered windows, damaged roofs, and cracked walls, along with several vehicles that were destroyed in the fire.

It was gathered that the driver of the tanker had fallen asleep at the wheel, causing him to lose control, which led to the tanker’s overturning and subsequent outbreak.

At the time of filling this report, no one has reportedly died and the actual number of maimed individuals hasn’t been disclosed, while the number of vehicles affected is unknown.
