Okpebholo celebrates APC’s candidates’ by-election victories in Edo

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has congratulated Senator-elect Joe Ikpea and Member-elect Omosede Igbinedion on their victories in Saturday’s by-elections for the Edo Central Senatorial seat and the Ovia Federal Constituency.
In a statement shared on his X handle, the governor described the outcome as a “resounding victory” that reflects the people’s trust in the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its leadership in the State.
Okpebholo also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies for conducting a peaceful and credible exercise, while urging stakeholders to support the newly elected lawmakers.
He wrote, “I congratulate Senator-elect Joe Ikpea and Member-elect Omosede Igbinedion on their resounding victories in the Edo Central Senatorial and Ovia Federal Constituency by-elections.
These victories go beyond individual success, they confirm the people’s trust in our collective efforts so far.
“With Ikpea and Igbinedion joining hands with us in the National Assembly, we now have stronger APC representation that will help my administration deliver even more for our people.
“I commend INEC and the security agencies for ensuring a peaceful and credible process, and I call on all stakeholders to support Ikpea and Igbinedion as they begin this new journey of service.
“My administration remains committed to working with all elected officials to advance the progress and development of our dear State.”
