The Lagos State Government has set up a taskforce to arrest those defecating in open places.
This was disclosed by the Lagos State Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab on Thursday, via his verified X (formally Twitter) account.
Wahab in the post cautioned against defecating in open places as the State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources on Thursday proceeded with the entire cleanup of the Ojodu Berger median.
“The Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources today continue the total cleanup of Ojodu – Berger median, warns against defecating on the roadside, as the Lagos State government set up Taskforce to arrest offenders,” the post reads.
On August 12, Dailyeconomy reported that the Lagos State government has demolished shanties under the Western Avenue bridge inward Alaka, and dislodged cattle rearers and squatters in Surulere, as part of the ongoing cleanup exercise and war against flood.
