Orile murder suspect arrested in Kogi, stolen car recovered

Detectives from the Homicide Section of the Lagos State Police Command have apprehended Abubakar Iliyasu in Kogi State for the murder of 65-year-old Mrs. Jane Okoye, which occurred on April 2, 2025, in Orile.

This was made known in a statement obtained from the Lagos State Police Command on Sunday.

The command noted that during the operation, the stolen vehicle linked to the crime was also recovered, marking a significant breakthrough in the investigation.

The statement reads, “Detectives  of the Homicide Section, Lagos State Police Command, have arrested one Abubakar Iliyasu ‘m’ for the murder of 65-year-old Mrs Jane Okoye which occurred on April 2, 2025, in the Orile.”
