Oyebamiji emerges APC consensus candidate for Osun 2026 guber poll

Former Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Bola Oyebamiji, has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer for the 2026 Osun State governorship election.

During a meeting of party aspirants, Kunle Adegoke, SAN, moved a motion for the withdrawal of the other eight contestants, which was seconded by Senator Jide Omoworare.

The APC Primary Committee Chairman and Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, subsequently announced Oyebamiji as the party’s consensus candidate.
