Ekiti’s Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has officially opened the new state-of-the-art Builders’ Market situated on Poly Road in Ado-Ekiti.
In a post on the Governor’s X (formerly Twitter) account, he praised the project as a significant advancement in enhancing local trade and offering essential assistance to small enterprises in the building and construction sector.
The newly inaugurated market features more than 170 shops, aimed at becoming a central location for acquiring high-quality local building materials.
Oyebanji said, “I commissioned the new ultra-modern Builders’ Market along Poly Road in Ado-Ekiti. This project is a significant step forward in our efforts to strengthen local commerce and support small businesses in the building and construction sector.
“With over 170 shops, a 300KVA transformer, a fully equipped security post, a functional cafeteria, clean restrooms, and ample parking space, the market is designed to serve as a central hub for sourcing quality local building materials. I have also made it clear that only genuine materials must be sold here to protect our people and promote standards.
“This project reflects the success of our Public Private Partnership approach in advancing the shared prosperity agenda. Together, we are laying strong foundations for sustainable economic growth in Ekiti.”
