Ezra Olubi, co-founder and former technical leader at Paystack, has publicly claimed he was terminated from the company before the completion of an internal investigation into online allegations against him.

In a statement posted on his blog, Olubi said he “chose not to comment publicly while the investigation was ongoing to avoid interfering with the process,” but that his silence “created a vacuum that allowed assumptions and misrepresentations to spread.”

He emphatically described the circulating posts as “misrepresentations of my conduct,” emphasising that he “has always conducted myself in a manner that respects everyone’s dignity and safety.”

Olubi revealed that he was informed of his termination on Saturday, 22 November 2025, without being granted a meeting, hearing, or any opportunity to respond—actions he alleges violated Paystack’s suspension terms and internal policies.

He also stated that as a long-serving board member and co-founder, he “engaged in the investigation in good faith and fully cooperated with the Board’s directives.”

His legal team is currently reviewing the termination process to assess whether it aligned with company policies.

Olubi concluded by saying he “will not be commenting further on the matter for now.”

Paystack has yet to respond to Olubi’s allegations, and there is no clarification on whether the investigation was concluded or if Olubi was given a chance to present his side before his dismissal.
