PenCom DG meets Edun to boost pension reforms, capital mobilisation

The Director General of the National Pension Commission (PenCom), Omolola Oloworaran, visited the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, at his office on Wednesday.

The courtesy call underscored the strong partnership between the Ministry of Finance and PenCom.

Discussions focused on fortifying Nigeria’s pension framework, enhancing long-term domestic capital mobilisation, and syncing reforms with President Bola Tinubu’s economic stabilisation and growth plans.

A Ministry of Finance statement highlighted, “The visit provided an opportunity to reaffirm ongoing collaboration between the Ministry and PenCom, with discussions centred on strengthening Nigeria’s pension system, deepening long-term domestic capital mobilisation, and aligning pension reforms with President Bola Tinubu’s broader economic stabilisation and growth agenda.”

This meeting signals continued momentum in pension sector advancements amid Nigeria’s push for sustainable economic growth.
