Pension operators invest N 162.488bn in infrastructure

Pension operators have invested about 162.488bn in infrastructure funds under the Contributory Pension Scheme as of the end of June.
Figures obtained by Dailyeconomy from the National Pension Commission from its report titled, ‘Unaudited report on pension funds industry portfolio for the period ended June 30, 2024; Approved Existing Schemes, Closed Pension Fund Administrators and RSA Funds (Including unremitted contributions @CBN & Legacy Funds)’, revealed.
The total funds under the CPS which had maintained a rise hit N20.484tn in the period under review.
Other portfolios where the pension operators invested the assets are in FGN securities, money market instruments, and mutual funds.
