Pension operators invest N280.855bn in real estate

Pension Fund Operators invested N280.855bn funds under the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) in real estate as of the end of May, 2024.

Figures obtained by Daily Economy from the National Pension Commission from its report titled, ‘Unaudited report on pension funds industry portfolio for the period ended 31 May 2024; Approved Existing Schemes, Closed Pension Fund Administrators and RSA Funds (Including unremitted contributions @CBN & Legacy Funds)’, revealed

The total funds under the CPS which had maintained a rise hit N20.227tn in the period under review.

Other portfolios where the pension operators invested the assets are in FGN securities, money market instruments, and mutual funds.
