Photo news: W’African insurers gather in Lagos as WAICA Education Conference commences
The 2025 West Africa Insurance Companies Association (WAICA) Education Conference officially commenced in Lagos, today, Monday.
The opening ceremony was held at Eko Hotels, Victoria Island and declared open by the Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Doris Uzoka, who was represented by a Director in the Ministry, Dr. Ali Mohammed.
The annual conference brought together major stakeholders in the insurance industry, including the Commissioner for Insurance, Mr. Olusegun Omosehin, as well as practitioners, regulators, policymakers, and thought leaders from WAICA member countries such as Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and The Gambia.
The event aims to foster knowledge exchange, strengthen networking opportunities, and enhance regional cooperation within the West African insurance sector.
