Police arrest Anthony Joshua’s driver after leaving hospital

The driver of the Lexus SUV involved in the fatal crash that claimed the lives of two close associates of former world heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Joshua, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Oluseyi Babaseyi, confirmed the development on Thursday.
He stated that “the driver of the Lexus SUV is currently in custody in connection with the Anthony Joshua accident case. Investigations are ongoing.”
The crash occurred on Monday along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway when the Lexus SUV conveying Joshua and members of his team reportedly rammed into a stationary truck.
Two of Joshua’s key associates, his personal trainer, Kevin Latif Ayodele, and his strength and conditioning coach, Sina Ghami, died in the crash.
Joshua, who was also in the vehicle, was discharged late Wednesday night from Lagoon Hospital, Ikoyi, Lagos, after doctors certified him clinically fit to continue his recovery at home.
However, the police has vowed that further details will be released as investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident continue.
