Police arrest three suspected kidnappers, recover arms in Delta

The operatives of the Delta State Commissioner of Police special assignment team have arrested three suspected kidnappers who allegedly rape their female victims before releasing them.
The state command also reported the recovery of one G-3 rifle, one pump action gun, one baretta pistol, three cut-to-size guns, three single-barrel long guns, ammunition and cartridges in different operations between the end of January and this month of February.
This was disclosed in a post by the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, on Friday.
The post reads, “Between the end of January and this month of February, the command recovered one G-3 rifle, one pump action gun, one baretta pistol, three cut-to-size guns, three single-barrel long guns, ammunition and cartridges.
“Operatives of the CP special assignment team also arrested three suspected kidnappers who sometimes Rape their female victims before releasing them.
“The command under CP Olufemi Abaniwonda will continue to work for Deltans to sleep with their eyes closed.”
