The Edo Police Command has appointed Superintendent of Police Moses Yamu, as its new Public Relations Officer, effective Wednesday (tomorrow).

The transition according to a post shared on the Edo Police X (formally Twitter) account marks a significant change in the command’s communication strategy and public engagement efforts.

Yamu replaced SP Chidi Nwabuzor as the State Police Public Relations Officer.

However, Yamu according to Delta State Police spokesperson, Bright Edafe was a Staff Officer to the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Department of Operations, Force Headquarters, Abuja.

“Meet the new PPRO, Edo State Command, SP Moses Joel Yamu, ANIPR. He served last as a Staff Officer to the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Department of Operations, Force Headquarters, Abuja.

“He was a one-time PPRO in Benue State Command.

His × (formerly Twitter) handle is @YamuJoel. He can be reached via call or WhatsApp on 08036363531,” Edafe confirmed.

Dailyeconomy on July 9 reported that Edafe said that anyone who attempts suicide risks a year jail term.
