The Nigerian Police Force has confirmed the arrest of a total 15 suspects in connection with the viral scandal at the Ozoro festival in Delta State, where videos showed men sexually harassing and assaulting women on March 20, 2026.

The incident, dubbed the “raping festival” amid nationwide outrage, prompted swift action from authorities.

New Media Officer, Aliyu Giwa confirmed the arrests in a statement shared via X on Saturday, saying, “As stated, a total of 15 suspects have been arrested.

“This development reaffirms the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to safeguarding lives and ensuring justice. Investigations remain ongoing.”

Delta Police initially detained five suspects, including a community leader, following the circulation of disturbing footage depicting coordinated attacks on women amid the festival crowd, Dailyeconomy reports.

Giwa’s update reveals 11 additional detentions, bringing the total to 15 as probes continue.
