The Nigeria Police Force has announced the arrest of two suspects in connection with the brutal murder of Mr Chen Wang, a Chinese employee of WH Great Resource Ltd., following an intelligence-driven investigation coordinated by multiple law enforcement units.

Wang was found stabbed to death in his Ogun office on January 12, 2025.

“Preliminary findings revealed fatal stab wounds to the chest,” the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, stated on Tuesday in a statement.

He explained that investigations showed the suspects — two factory workers alleged to be romantically involved — exploited reduced staffing on the day, disabling the company’s security system before attacking Mr. Wang and burgling his residence.

“They subsequently fled the state with stolen cash,” Adejobi added.

After weeks of surveillance and tactical coordination, the suspects, Yunusa Abdullahi (25) from Borno State and Peace Keno Danlami (20) from Taraba State, were apprehended on July 14, 2025, in Jos, Plateau State, where they had assumed false identities.
Inspector General of Police Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun praised the collaborative efforts in the investigation.

“The swift deployment of digital forensics, biometric analysis, and human intelligence played a decisive role in bringing the perpetrators to justice,” he added.

He also reaffirmed the Force’s commitment to protecting all residents, citizens, and foreign nationals alike.

The suspects remain in custody pending court arraignment as investigations continue.
