Police deploy trained marine units, engine boats to assist flood victims in Adamawa

Following the recent heavy downpour that severely affected residents of Shagari Low Cost, Sabon Pegi, and Modire Yolde Pate areas in Yola South Local Government Area, the Adamawa State Police Command has taken swift action to aid those in distress.
In collaboration with personnel from the 23 Brigade, Yola, the police mobilised trained marine police units and deployed engine boats to the flood-hit communities.
Their mission was to actively engage with residents, provide necessary assistance, and help alleviate the impact of the flooding.
A statement by the command spokesman, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, reads, “Following the heavy downpour that hits residents of Shagari Low cost, Sabon Pegi and Modire Yolde pate in Yola South LGA.
”The Adamawa State Police command in collaboration with personnel of 23 Brigade, Yola mobilized to the affected areas to actively engage with the community and render assistance to the people in distress.”
