The Nigeria Police Complaint Response Unit has pledged to take investigative actions after a netizen identified as #HarrisonBbi18 raised alarm over the detention of a widow at Agbala Police Station in Owerri, Imo State.

In a post shared on X (formally Twitter) Harrison called on the Nigerian Police to intervene in the case of the widow who was allegedly apprehended by her late husband’s brother over property ownership.

In rejoinder to the case, the Police Complaints Response Unit confirmed that the case has been noted and that the Imo State Command would be contacted for further investigations and actions.

The Police Complaint Response Unit wrote, “Thank you for reaching out #HarrisonBbi18, the affected command will be contacted and necessary actions will be taken.”
