Police nab 22-years-old man for raping minor in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 22-year-old lad for raping a 15 years old girl in the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer, of Adamawa State, SP Suleiman Yahaya Ngurore, in a statement, enunciated that the suspect, Luka James, of Gwalantabal village in Song Local Government Area, was arrested in Michicka following a report made to the police by Yohanna Begie, who is a resident of Nkafa village.
The statement partly said, “On 31st January 2025, the victim was on her way to school when the suspect conspired with one Emmanuel, who is currently on the run, abducted her into a nearby bush and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her.”
The girl was found unconscious at the scene of the incident and was immediately rushed to the hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment.
However, the Commissioner of Police, Damkombo Morris, expressed concern over the incident and directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Criminal Investigation to take over the investigation and ensure justice.
Morris enjoined members of the public, especially parents, to develop a habit of monitoring their wards and providing timely information to the police.
