Police refutes declaring Iyabo Ojo wanted

The Nigeria Police Force has issued a clarification regarding a recent announcement stating that actress Iyabo Ojo was being sought by the Office of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Monitoring Unit.
In the statement, the police underscored that this announcement does not come from the Force’s official communications.
The public is urged to exercise caution and verify information via official police sources before disseminating it, in order to prevent the circulation of false information.
The statement reads, “Clarification on Police Gazette Bulletin of Wanted Person. The Nigeria Police Force wishes to clarify that the recent Wanted Person Bulletin circulating about stating that the Nollywood Actress, Iyabo Ojo is wanted by the Office of The IGP Monitoring Unit is NOT an official communication from the Force.
“The Nigeria Police Force urges members of the public to verify information through official channels and be cautious of misinformation”.
