Police reunite hit-and-run victim with father

The FCT Police Command has confirmed the identity of a young boy found unconscious at Apo Roundabout, due to public cooperation and the father’s prompt response.
SP Josephine Adeh, Police Public Relations Officer for the FCT Command, announced the development in a statement on Monday.
The boy, estimated to be between 12 and 15 years old, was discovered lying unconscious near a transformer at Apo Roundabout on December 10, following an incident reported in a press release on December 11.
“The father of the victim, Mr. Adamu Ibrahim, has come forward and positively identified the victim as his son, Abba Adamu Ibrahim,” Adeh stated, highlighting the breakthrough.
Abba remains under medical care as authorities work to ensure his safe reunification with his father, adhering to medical protocols and procedures.
The Command praised community involvement, “The FCT Police Command extends its appreciation to members of the public for their cooperation, and useful information, which greatly aided the identification of the victim’s parent.”
Police urged continued vigilance, reiterating “the importance of collective vigilance and public support in safeguarding lives and enhancing crime prevention across the Federal Capital Territory.”
