Police spokesman raises concerns over rising trend of broken home

The spokesperson of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, Josephine Adeh, has expressed concerns over the increasing number of broken homes and the growing trend of men rushing into marrying a second wife.

Adeh, in a post shared on X, questioned the decline of patience, reconciliation, and endurance in marriages, stressing the need for couples to prioritize the well-being of their families.

She wrote, “Lately, I’ve noticed more broken homes, and the new trend for men seems to be rushing into marrying a second wife. But what happened to patience, to sitting down and working things out for the sake of the children? Have we lost the will to fight for love, for peace, for family? It breaks my heart to see how quickly endurance and reconciliation are fading away. Families deserve more than a quick escape.🤦But wait… is ‘second wife’ now the new iPhone that every man wants to upgrade to?”
