Port Harcourt Helicopter crash: NNPCL confirms no additional bodies found

Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has confirmed that no additional bodies have been recovered following the recent helicopter crash in Port Harcourt.
The incident, which occurred on Thursday, October 24, has raised concerns among local authorities and the public.
NNPCL in a statement on Sunday by its Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, stated that search and rescue operations are ongoing, but as of now, there have been no further discoveries except for the three bodies that have been discovered earlier.
The company is working closely with relevant agencies to ensure a thorough investigation into the crash and to support affected families during this difficult time.
It reads, “The NNPC Ltd. wishes to announce that beyond the three bodies found in the ill-fated helicopter operated by East Winds Aviation that crashed on Thursday in Port Harcourt, no other bodies have been recovered.
“The Company further notes that intensified search and rescue operations for the remaining bodies along with relevant authorities is still ongoing.
“Once again, our hearts and prayers are with family members of this unfortunate incident.”
