Nigerian controversial singer, Habeeb Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has revealed that he is not mentally stable, and he’s undergoing treatment at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Dailyeconomy had earlier reported that the Ogun State Police Command has declared Portable, wanted over his alleged involvement in a violent attack on government officials within the state.

Portable made this revelation while appealing to the Ogun state government and Nigerians after being declared wanted by the Ogun Police Command.

The controversial musician has been in the news after his alleged altercation with three officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Ota Zonal Office.

The incident involved TPL Onabanjo Abidemi, TPL Raymond Lateef, and TPL Ridwan Oyero Akinlesi, who were carrying out an enforcement exercise at Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota, in Ogun State.

However, hours after the Police declaration, the singer stated that he was a madman and has a card at Aro hospital where he usually takes his treatment.

He could be heard saying in a video, “Nigeria, this is when I need you people’s help. There’s no place like home, but evil people full home. Why only me? Why do I have issues in Nigeria. I do music for a living, I’m not a thief, I don’t kill people. I wait for my own blessing. I bless people too. I don’t make trouble. People look for my trouble, I’m a superstar. God forgive me if I do any bad. After God, na government.

“They set me up with government. I don’t have any issue with government nor police. Some people just came to my house, telling me to pack out. I’m not a criminal. I’m not feeling fine. And I’m afraid. I don’t want them to lock me up. I’m going through pain all over my body.

“I’m a Federal Government liability. I didn’t go to school, I’m a fashion designer.

“I fear government. I am a federal government liability. Then I’m a madman; I have medications that I usually take. You can confirm from Aro Hospital. I have a card that certifies me as one of their patients.

“I am from Abeokuta and they are taking care of me there. I am not a thief, I help people around me without even looking at their background.”
